Galllagher introduced another line extension of its market leader, Benson & Hedges, called XL. It’s a "longer than King Size" product packed in an elegant tortoise shell design hinge lid box. The connotations of XL are "extra length," "excellent," exceptional." This product was originally designed to be launched as a premium brand at GBP 1 .50/pack (for 20) to take advantage of the growth of the 100mm segment.
