Century cigarettes were first produced in the United States by [[ManufacturerLorrilard |Lorrilard]], and introduced in 1967.  They continued for a few years, but were eventually withdrawn.  The brand was reintroduced in 1983, this time by [[ManufacturerR.J.Reynolds Tobacco Company |R. J. Reynolds Tobacco]], who made them in full flavor and lights, and also, notably, in a 25-pack.
