In Canada, Belvedere cigarettes were introduced by Canadian Tabacofina Ltd. in the late 1950s. Tabacofina was taken over by Benson and Hedges (Canada) Ltd. in 1962, who in turn were bought by Rothmans in 1986, forming Rothmans Benson & Hedges, who continue to manufacture Belvedere today. Belvedere is also produced in Belgium and in England.
