Brand Waterford

Waterford cigarettes are produced in USA, king size (85 mm), 4 or 20 cigarettes in a pack, hard, soft and wide flat hard box pack.

In January 1965 The American Tobacco Company got the jump on the competition when they introduced Pall Mall in a 100mm length. Packaging for this new "luxury length" smoke was an unusual continental style, flat flip-top box. The lettering and the crest had a sort of shimmering metallic sheen look. During December 1964, and in a similar continental box, ATCo launched king size Waterford Water Tip Cigarettes. Waterford featured a filter tip impregnated with encapsulated droplets of water that the smoker gently squeezed or pinched to moisten the smoke. The idea behind innovative Waterford was the convenience of a cigarette producing the coolness of an old fashioned water pipe. In less than two years the continental style boxes were replaced by the standard 'cup' soft pack.
