Player’s Special Blend was introduced in 1984 by John Player & Sons, a division of Imperial Tobacco Canada. The Special Blend refers to the mixture of American-blend tobacco with the usual Canadian Virginia style. It is sold in regular (75 mm) and king size (84 mm) lengths, in packets of 20 and 25.
