The study, conducted by a team of researchers at VCU�s Clinical Behavioral Pharmacology Laboratory, concluded that the Advance cigarette produced by Star Scientific, Inc., delivers higher amounts of nicotine into the bloodstream. Advance are so-called "reduced risk cigarettes" that have recently become available in the stores in the United States. Star and Brown & Williamson developed Advance using Star�s �StarCured� tobacco and Brown & Williamson technologies for scientific testing and test marketing.
