111 cigarettes are produced in USA, short (70 mm), soft pack, 20 cigarettes in a pack. The American Tobacco Company's One-Eleven Cigarettes are considered to be one of the Great Depression's ten-cent brands. However, One-Eleven was originally introduced April 1922 in soft packs of fifteen cigarettes selling for a dime. Advertising stressed that the size of the new pack fits the pocket, while the price fits the pocket-book. Later, the brand was marketed in packs of 20 and 24 cigarettes, and exported in round tins of 50. The One-Eleven brandname refers to the address of ATCo's New York City headquarters at 111 5th Avenue, and to the tobacco blend. The back of the handsome pack pictures one Turk in his national costume, one top-hatted Virginia gentleman, and one Indian representing Burley tobacco, together in a pose suggesting harmony.
