I was wondering:
== Steady Burning... ==

I am trying, out of sheer curiosity, to find out how commercial cigarette makers get cigarettes to burn continuously even when not being drawn upon. If anyone could enlighten me I would be grateful.

Answer: The cigarette papers, if you look closely seem to be 'striped' they are infact made of thick, thin, thick, thin pieces of paper, and the thick bits burn very slowly, so it burns evenly. This is how I believe it works, however, I'm not sure.

This brand prides itself to be able to claim a minimal 1mg of tar from each cigarette, (depending on how you smoke it of course), through the use of an innovative charcoal filter that is much better at absorbing excess tar.

However, the Carbon Monoxide is not as low as some brands who have adopted placing prosthetic Haemaglobin within the filter, which absorbs nearly all the Carbon Monoxide, but then you're left with the tar. It's one or the other, until or course we get 'Double Filter' Brands, it's a matter of time.
Year after year Camel Cigarettes are at the top of the annual list of the most internationally recognized commercial names. This fact is a testimony to the great care that R.J. Reynolds, the man and the company, has paid to advertising from the very beginning. From the introduction of Camel Cigarettes in 1913 to the incarnation of Joe Camel in 1988, the advertisers have shown a genius for capturing the public's attention and establishing a brand name that is widely recognized, by smokers and non-smokers alike. This new book celebrates the first fifty years of Camel advertising and packaging. Over 450 color photographs capture the rich images used to promote Camel goods.
In 1988 R.J. Reynolds gave the anti-smoking movement an emblem for the corrupting influence of tobacco advertising. Introduced with the slogan "smooth character," Joe Camel was a cartoon version of the dromedary (known as Old Joe) that has appeared on packages of Camel cigarettes since 1913.
